This policy explains what information H. Sharma & Co. ("we", "us") collects, how we use it and how we protect it. It applies to this website and to the bookkeeping and payroll administration services we provide.

Information We Collect

• Website enquiries: the name, email address, business name and message you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Client information: when you become a client, the financial records you give us access to, such as transactions in your accounting or payroll software, bills, invoices, receipts and payroll details.
• Basic technical data: our hosting provider may record standard information such as IP address and browser type for security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Use It

• To reply to your enquiry and send you a proposal.
• To provide the services you have engaged us for, and to bill you for them.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use client financial data for marketing.

Who We Share It With

We share information only where needed to provide our services: with the software providers you already use (for example QuickBooks, Xero or Gusto), with service providers that help us run our business (such as email, secure file storage and payment processing), with your CPA or tax preparer when you ask us to, or when required by law. Our service providers may process data outside the United States, including in India, and are bound to keep it confidential.

How We Protect It

• We work inside your own software as an invited user. We never ask for your bank login details.
• All our accounts use two-step login, and devices are password protected with encrypted storage.
• Access to your data is limited to the people working on your file.
• We sign a confidentiality agreement with clients on request.

How Long We Keep It

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the period our engagement letter states, or as long as the law requires, and are then deleted or returned to you.

Your Choices

You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. You can remove our access to your software at any time. To make a request, email hello@hsharmaco.com.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
